Tesla Robotaxi ‘We, Robot’ 10/10 Event

“Cybercab” Robotaxi is set for production in 2026, priced under $30,000

Elon Musk unveiled Tesla’s Robotaxi, a futuristic two-door vehicle with gull-wing doors and no steering wheel or pedals, alongside announcements for a larger Robovan and updates on the Optimus humanoid robot. The taxi is smaller than currently available Model 3 Teslas and has a extra big trunk for luggage. The larger self-driving Robovan is reportedly capable of carrying up to 20 people. All will feature a single central screen like the Model 3, but with a stripped-down UI displaying key information such as ETA and fare price.

Tesla’s Robotaxi event, “We, Robot,” was live-streamed from Warner Bros. Discovery Studios in Hollywood, Los Angeles. Invites were sent to winners of a shareholder raffle.

“We think this [robotaxi fleet] is still several years away and numerous technological hurdles, safety tests, and regulatory approvals are still standing in the way,” Garrett Nelson of CFRA told Yahoo Finance.
