Terminator BINGO!!
One of the most influential moments in the creation of the western world’s idea of Artificial Intelligence was the 1984 release of the Hollywood movie Terminator staring Arnold Schwartzennger.
The Foundation for Bioethics in Technology, a.k.a. Bioethics.Tech, hosted a public, free meet
up at Brewed Awakenings in Warwick, RI on Saturday, March 30, 2024 to analyze the film in
relation to current events. Those in attendance watched the 1984 blockbuster film THE TERMINATOR while playing BINGO! using cards crafted around the terms and ideas featured in the movie.
After the movie a free flowing discussion ensued. Brief discussion of the timeline of Kyle Reese,
Sarah Connor and John Connor and multiple theories of their characters listed on the internet.
The movie was originally supposed to be centered around the relationship of Kyle and Sarah
but then after a dream…
James Cameron had a dream of a metallic humanoid skeleton machine with a knife emerging
from flames that would never stop killing. This was in response to the technology he saw
overtaking the natural world. He was quoted at the time that he didn’t understand why more
people were not alarmed by how quickly technology was developing.
Cameron’s film Terminator was inspired by the style of the movie HALLOWEEN and the then new
“slasher” genre…

After a brief discussion of inflation, someone commented that they did not like digital money
and that we should go back to gold.
Digital money is connected to biometric digital payments (among other things).

QUESTION: Would it be better to become a DIGITAL NATION like Estonia than have banking companies store and control digital biometric data and accounts??
While acting as Governor of Rhode Island, Gina Raimondo, now US Secretary of Commerce
and Bilderberg / WEF attendee, was communicating with Israel and China about how to
create “digital hubs” within the US as it transitioned to full Digital Nation status.

ADA is what bots get paid with as they scape digital data (ie your information) to train AI. This
practice was initiated by Ray Kurzweil who created Singularity University and the famous
Sophia humanoid robot which is now a citizen of Saudi Arabia.

It was not lost on the group that ADA is also the abbreviation for Americans with Disability Act.
This brought the discussion over to the experience of being in a wheelchair (4 people in the
room were in wheelchairs.) One person commented that they already felt like a cyborg because
their wheelchair could do things like drive itself around autonomously with just a little
prompting and how they depend on it to participate in daily life.
Which led to how cutting edge technology like mRNA vaccines / Neuralink brain implants /
metaverse immersion/ CRISPR gene editing studies, and more have relied on enticing “throw-away- people” to participate in studies in order to get the product to general market. Data from
these studies is very valuable. It was suggested that specialist doctors, who rely on grant
money to continue with more studies, seemed eager to endorse experimental therapies and
treatments. Some of the people in wheelchairs in the room felt compelled to participate as they
felt no agency – meaning, their family or caregiver made the decision for them and they didn’t
want to disappoint (especially) their mother who was very hopeful given the latest medical
development.

Discussion regarding why this situation would even happen? —> investment money in the
novel new product moves marketing, marketing with enough money behind it moves the stock-
market. The US stock-market is currently the backing of the US dollar. The world relies on the
US dollar as a financial basis to operate on.
The person who did not like digital money thought things would be a lot better if our money
went back to Gold – just simpler.

Discussion about CardanoADA and the bots swung the conversation back to Artificial
Intelligence.
The announcement of a super AI computer being built costing one hundred-billion dollars
called “Star Gate”. Someone commented that the movies like Terminator, seem to be
intertwined with real life making it difficult to pull fact from fiction or is that on purpose?

Also of note, the OPEN AI logo is a reference to the famous PAPER CLIP THOUGHT
EXPERIMENT regarding artificial intelligence: The AI robot stays so intently on the task of
creating paperclips that is destroys the world while acquiring resources to make the paper
clips. Then when the world is depleted of metals the robots kill the people to extract the iron
