ChanZuckerberg BioEngineering Conference

October 8, 2024 Posted by Director Brains & Biometrics, Environment & Engineering, Progress & Principles, Robotics & AI

September 30-October 1, 2024 CZ Biohub Chicago hosted the first-ever Chicago BioEngineering Conference – two days of learning, networking, and new connections with the life science research community in Chicago. Speaking to a sold-out crowd of 500 attendees, Biohub Chicago President Shana Kelley described the institute’s approach to engineering instrumented tissues. The Conference was also an opportunity for scientists across the Biohub Network to showcase their work.

Inflammation and the dysregulation of immune cells are implicated in the vast majority of human diseases. Our overarching goal is to characterize and learn to control tissue-level interactions with the immune system.
